Where Can I Get FREE High-Quality Safety Photos & Clip Art?

Finding the perfect photo (or piece of clip-art) for a safety article or publication can be time-consuming.  Either the high-quality images are too expensive, or the free images are poor quality.

I’ve found three websites that provide safety images that are both free/low-cost  and high-quality.  None of these images have watermarks.  Be sure to review their “terms of use” and “license” agreements before downloading your image.   Here’s the links to these websites:

  • RGBstock.com has over 642 free downloadable safety photos.  You are required to register with them before downloading your first image.  Some of their photos are really huge.
  • FreeDigitalPhotos.net has 830 free downloadable safety photos.  While you do not need to register, you are required to “publish an acknowledgement to FreeDigitalPhotos.net and the image creator on the same page or screen where the image is used.  If you are unwilling or unable to publish an acknowledgement, you must purchase the image, to avoid this requirement.”  If you choose to purchase a photo, the cost will range from $3.00 to $10.00 (depending on size).
  • 123RF.com has 41,647 safety related downloadable pieces of safety clip-art.  You pay for your clip art with “credits” that cost about $1 each.  Their clip-art cost varies from $1 to $5 per image, depending on use and size.  Pay with credit card, or PayPal.
